Development of the Bodington software is currently taking place inside and outside Leeds as part of JISC funded projects.

Guanxi
Funded by the JISC Core Middleware programme, the Guanxi project, led by the UHI Millennium Institute, is building Shibboleth functionality into Bodington. Both Leeds and Oxford Universities are partners in the project.

RAMBLE (Remote Authoring of Mobile Blogs for Learning Environments)
Funded by JISC Distributed eLearning programme and co-ordinated by the Learning Technologies Group at Oxford University, RAMBLE is investigating the use of mobile blogs and their integration into Learning Environments.

SPWS (Skills Profiling Web Service)
Funded by JISC Distributed eLearning programme, the SPWS project, led by Oxford University, is a collaboration between The University of Oxford (Computing Services [OUCS] and Medical Sciences), The University of Leeds (Learning Development Unit [LDU] and Medical School) and The University of Liverpool (Centre for Lifelong Learning [CLL] and Medical School). SPWS is enhancing the log book functionality of Bodington by adding various skills profiling facilities.

TIP (Tools Integration Project)
Funded by JISC Distributed eLearning programme, the TIP project at Oxford University will develop a single sign-on (SSO) environment between Bodington, the Learning Activity Management System (LAMS) and the Assessment software developed by the JISC TOIA project. The project will also build web services that allow the three applications to provide and consume each others services.
